    Car Spawner Question.

Hey folks. Dumb Question Time. If this has been addressed, I apologize. How long should a car spawner be and can you place more than one on a route? Thanks in advance.

No practical limit to the number of car spawners.

Maximum length?... Around 2000m, maybe < 2048m because that's the width of a tile and sort of a magic number...

I just remembered something. Is there a specific number to consider when determining when to reduce traffic? Because in my recreation of the city of Fostoria, Ohio, when measuring vehicular traffic, it often seems like the number of vehicles is Infinite.

I have carspawners with over 80 vehicles that are more than five tiles in length.

When I place carspawns I try to start and stop them far enough away from the tracks so I can place some kind of scenic block between the beginning/end and the tracks so I don't see any vehicles spawning as my train is moving along.

And they work? I recall ORTS was having issues with over 2000m at one point. It only loads 1 tile in each direction from your current tile, although I'd guess that the RDB would be loaded for the entire route.

Yes. If you're standing in one place watching things go by the cars will bunch up behind the slowest driver. If you use the Shift-4 camera it'll follow end to end.

Also you should have a car spawner "TYPE" for each area you have traffic you have......

                  city
                  interstate
                  farm road
                  etc
