    Change Coordinates TSRE5

Hello, I'd like to know how to change the starting Coordinates of a Route in TSRE5 or in the Route files, if possible, because it's sending me to a location far from where I want to start to begin laying the Rails it can be done or it can't be done

My question is: I want to enter these coordinates 41.76072, -88.30806, however, if I want to modify the coordinates that are already in the route, it won't let me. That's my problem; I don't know if it's possible or where I should enter them. Because I laid the rails but it leaves me too far from the rails

        The Lat/Long you mentioned works out to be -11565 14416 648 -309

Plug those numbers in the screen above, that -should- work, or open up your route's TRK file and change the start tile and position there.

You could also add those as a marker in your marker file, and jump to it from the Navi window.

But.... maybe we are just misunderstanding your question.... Dd you want to move the camera, or move the entire route so that the coordinates are centered at that Lat/Long to be able to use map layers?

But I would like it to appear in this part

It leaves me far from the place where I am laying the Rails

I'm assuming you already laid rails in the first place, right?

There is a way to shift things... via Route Merge.

You would need to first create a new route at the right geo coordinates as a shell. No need to do anything except the defaults.

Next, you would update your settings to do a Route Merge with an offset by meters:

In the settings panel for in v8.006:
            • Route Merge Enable - set the checkbox -and- set to True
            • Route Merge String -- set to your OldRoute:0:0:-2048 for a shift exactly one tile south.
            • Route Merge TDB - set the checkbox -and- set to True
            • Route Merge RDB - set the checkbox -and- set to True
            • Route Merge Terrain - set the checkbox -and- set to True if you've created terrain at the right height already,
            • Route Merge Terrtex - leave off and false, as it doesn't do anything and may be deprecated shortly...
In older Goku versions, you would need to just define the RouteMergeString. In v8.005, you would have to define routeMergeEnable, RouteMergeTDB, and set both to true

Save your settings.txt or Settings (second button from the bottom in v8.006), and re-open TSRE.

Select your new route and accept the merge parameters.

If it's not exactly one tile south, you would need to work out the shift in meters accordingly, and adjust the offset values west (+) and east (-) in the first number (second value in the string), leave the second number (third value) as 0, and then the north (+) and south (-) in the third number (fourth value).

If it doesn't look right, don't save the merge, and start over by adjusting the values, and re-opening.

When it looks right, unset all of those options above.
