    Tender coal please?

    Hi everybody, the pest again.

When starting an Activity "the Twins to Shefffield in Thames Trent V.3. I get the message:-

How do I Get around this please?

    Hi Paul,

Look at the activity briefing. Do you have to fill up with coal or water before continuing with the activity?

I sometimes see this warning but it always seems to apply to an AI train which continues to run normally.

          Hi Paul,

Is your labor force on that roure union or non union?

I would suggest that you invest in a really good pair of leather gloves and grab the appropriate shovel. It shouldn't take too long to fill that tender.

            Hi Paul,
With the greatest respect, Paul, the Player locomotives for that activity are diesels 10000 and 10001 (hence "The Twins" - the first mainline diesels built in UK in 1947/8 at Derby).
I suggest that you've probably changed the motive power to one or two steam locos in which case you're on your own! Are you sure you've added their tenders to the consist?!

            Cheers,
            Ged

I note that the AI traffic for that activity appears to be exclusively steam, therefore I refer you to my earlier post regarding the warning message referring to an AI train.
              Regards,

              Nick

                Hi Nick,
                Thanks for that!
Unfortunately, Paul hasn't told us how far into the activity it was before he got that message!
Have just run up to Kettering (using Autopilot), encountering about half of the programmed AI trains and didn't see that message.

Wonder if such an entry would appear in the log?

NOTE to Paul : Please send the log when you have errors like this in Open Rails - on one hand, it may not help but on the other, it could be very useful

                Cheers,
                Ged

Hi Ged, thanks for the reply.

This Is my fault, I thought I could run this activity with one of my own Steam engines (Britannia 7000) and my own Passengers coaches.

                  Obviously not!

But that still doesn't explain why the Tender Is empty, I thought It was possible to fill the Tender manually?

So I guess If I use this Loco elsewhere, It will still start with an empty Tender?

                  Many thanks

                  Paul.

Paul, Ctrl + T will give you 100% coal and water at any time. No need to be near a refuelling point.

Ged, Whenever I've received one of those 'loco will fail' messages there has been no entry in the OR log. I'm still convinced that it's an AI loco that's giving the message that Paul's seeing and as such can be disregarded.
                    Regards,

                    Nick

                        Hi,
@Nick: Thanks, mate, I wasn't aware that Ctrl+T could be used anywhere!

@Paul: There's no reason why you cannot use your 70000 consist (so long as the tender is included!) - just follow Nick's tip.

                        Cheers,
                        Ged

                            Here's a funny One?

I am running Thames-Trent V.3. with It.s own Activity "The Twins to Sheffield" with It's own
                            Diesel Consist.

It crashed between Mill Hill and Luton but then reloaded the Activity again!

Not sur what's going on here?

                            Thanks

                            Paul.

                              Good Afternoon, Paul,
It reloaded the activity after a crash? Are you sure it was a crash? You haven't posted a screenshot of the crash.
You seem to have had a number of 'funnies' on your PC recently - I wonder if something is going on in the background? You've said the only antivirus you run is Windows Defender - I don't know if the Win 11 version is more intrusive than that supplied with Win 10 - maybe some other members can help.

                              Cheers,
                              Ged
