It's been a while since I joined here since August 2022 from my own curiosity while I'm casually surfing through the now demised RailServe (not a railroad company, the railroad directory site) after looking it up due to another site relating to it, 'Hiwathamr Trainz Add-Ons' ran by hiawathamr, if I recall before the site overhaul of the latter, there used to be a motto or signature of 'Proudly Served By RailServe' but it's no longer there as RailServe went down. To this day, I have no idea what really happened to RailServe...
At the time when I joined TrainSim, Trainz was my main train simulator and made some posts in the Trainz sub-forums at the time where the game's audience in here is very niche because not a lot of Trainz users are active here and they are active elsewhere such as the Trainz Forums and some of the Trainz Discord servers and what not but they vary in terms of how many people are there and how many are active.
After some time, I briefly active here until I begin to post less and less, then stopping entirely as I continue to spend my time elsewhere either in the Trainz Forums or some of the Trainz Discord servers. A few months after joining here, somewhere in Discord I joined a random railfan server and hung out there, that's when things took a turn as I met a certain someone who is from the Open Rails community around mid to late 2023 who was posting Open Rails screenshots in a channel. Thus, resulting in me picking up interest for Open Rails (with the help of said someone) and fully transition to it complete and it's been like that since then and combine with me being on TrainSim for some time is what led up to the present time with me being here. I'm glad I gave Open Rails another chance, at the cost of me stopped playing with Trainz which is unfortunate, but in fairness, my motivation for it is taking a decline as I can't find anything to do with it, combine with me shying away from the majority of the Trainz community as I believe I don't fit there, nor belong there? I miss Trainz but not the community (aside from a few people there)...
