On March 28, 2026, a Canadian National freight train was traveling along Highway 313 near Warroad, Minnesota. Just before 5 a.m, it suddenly derailed taking 42 cars off the tracks. 2 of those cars were labeled as hazardous cargo. There were some concerns on possible leaks and many residents around the area were told to evacuate temporarily. As of March 29th it is still under investigation on how the train derailed so I do not have that information.
