I'm doing the first test runs of a new Canadian National U-2a 4-8-4 on passenger and freight trains through Windsor Junction and Truro Nova Scotia.

Nice! If you ever do a U-2g, please include 6218. That was one of our favorites in the afterglow of the end of steam.

I do plan doing a pair of U-2gs including 6218 so people can run excursions into the 1970s. I will be doing a set of Mountains but I've not found a picture of one running east of Montcon NB, so may not have been used in my territory.

I converted the earlier U-3as to a U-3g. About 90% of the engine was pretty much the same but the U-3gs had Walschaerts valve gear and
Boxpok drivers.

CNR 6218 hauling the Scotian through Bedford NS in the mid 1950s...



... and an excursion train in the early 1970s.

I've uploaded a set of six Canadian National U-3s 4-9-4 Northerns built between 1927 and 1944. CN used them in bother passenger and freight service from coast to coast.
