Friends,

When placing mileposts on a route I am doing, I found two things of interest that are neat. When the milepost is placed select a point on the track and then without releasing the mouse data button, move the milepost to the side of the track as desired. Then what I found was that the milepost (in my case the 3 digit Southern milepost) lines up exactly with the plane of the numbers at right angles to the track. Then where the number window is, key in the desired number. Now the other cute part. There is a value of "Max. Placing Radius" that in my case defaults to 20. If working in single track, just ignore this and save the placement. But in double track, there is another button for "expand". Select this and another placement marker is inserted on any track within 20 (meters I guess). BUT this may also put placement marks on industry sidings, yard tracks or whatever which while not a actual error, is still not prototypical. So change this value to 5 and only the 2nd of double track will be linked to the milepost. Some experimentation will help with this value if you have more than double track.

My pc crashed and i had to reinstall everything. Now for some reason when i try to open this one route in Track Viewer i get a message "Route cannot be loaded. Sorry " in the white box.
When i move the white box it says "Loading road track database.rdb .... " I deleted the .tdb and the .rdb and spent 3 days installing the roads and tracks back in and still the same.
But for some reason if i delete the activity folder that is empty it works , i can make all the paths then add the activity folder to make the activities.
Any ideas why

Thanks
